Seven Points To An Ad
The ad must be factual and explicit. It must contain the following:
1) What is it that you are selling?
2) How valuable is it?
3) What does it do?
4) How easy is it to use?
5) How costly is it?
6) How do you acquire it?
7) Where Do you get it from?
The Ultimate Copy Writing Formula:
First part of the ad ( listed out in any way that makes sense)
• WHO - you are and why should you be believed. You can tell your whole story here, your expertise, etc. This can be short or very long. It doesn't matter, just so it is convincing.
• WHY - you are doing or selling what you are selling. Stating the problem that you are solving that your public or potential customers are having.
• WHAT - you are doing or selling to resolve that problem. Convince them that it is a good solution to the problem.
• HOW TO - This is a step by step list of how they get the product or service.
1)
2)
3)
etc.
• WHAT IF - This usually comes at the end of the presentation to get them to become the person who now has the above problem solved. Really get into how much better the potential customer's life will be if they take action and to the HOW TO steps above.
• CALL TO ACTION - Button at the very end to get them to take action. You can give them a discount or a reward for taking action NOW.
Facebook Instructions For Creating An Ad:
1) Nowhere in the copy should there ever be mention of you, your, etc. Example: Do you have? Does your head hurt? Are you sad? Ok to say some people have headaches or Dr. Coles takes care of people who have (bla).
2) We can't claim to heal anything.
3) No profanities.
4) Not too much copy in the images.
5) Images should be clear. Short films, reels work well, or setting up a revolving photo image set of 2 or 3 images work well too.
Facebook Ad Example:
Parts of the ad -
1) Logo or photo of the sponsor
2) Name of the sponsor
3) Copy - According to AZ advisor this should not be that long. Ok to use emojis. Show reviews. Give basic reason WHY this is better.
4) Strong image - Create this on Canva as they already have the approved measurements.
5) Main Website Home Page in all capital letters below the image.
6) The MAIN "Unique Selling Proposition" in one line (sometimes they only give you 25 characters). The call this the Headline.
7) The call to action sentence, the reason why they will want to click the button.
8) The Button. They give you options: Find out more - Shop now
We need to design our ad and have all of these elements set up before we send the ad to our Facebook Ad creator.
We have a basic format for all of our ads set up in File Maker Pro. Ask Linda for that.
