Email swipe copy: a template you can send today

If you have an email list, it's one of the most effective ways to share — you're not competing with an algorithm, and people who signed up already want to hear from you. Here's a template you can copy and personalize.

The template

Subject: Something I've been using lately

Hey [name],

I wanted to share something that's become part of my routine lately — [product name]. [One or two sentences on how you use it or why you like it, in your own words.]

If you're curious, you can check it out here: [your link]

(I may earn a commission if you shop through my link.)

Making it your own

  • Swap in the product you're actually using — don't force one you haven't tried
  • Keep the "why" section specific to you — a general routine, a small habit, a story, anything personal
  • Send this on its own, or fold it into a newsletter you're already sending

Starting a list, if you don't have one yet

You don't need a list to start sharing elsewhere, but if you'd like to build one, a free tool like Mailchimp or MailerLite is enough to get going. Offer something small in exchange for a signup — a discount code, a short guide, or a giveaway entry — and grow it slowly from there.

A few things to keep in mind

Keep the tone personal, like an email from a friend, not a company. Avoid saying a product treats, cures, or fixes any condition. Full guidance is on the Affiliate Hub under Sharing Rules.

You don't need to be a copywriter. One honest email to people who already know you goes further than a perfectly polished one to strangers.
