Cole Herbals Blog Articles

Recently, working from her Thatcher, Arizona offices, traditional Naturopath, Dr. Janell Cole, who developed Mobu Herbals dermal infusions, used both S.O.S. and X-tracting balms to perform a miracle for a 3-year-old child—a story that every parent of a newborn with diaper rash will want to take to heart. (See pictures.)
“The mother of a 3-year-old toddler came in," Janell said. “Her child could not heal on her bottom and had Candida and staph infections. Basically, the doctor had said it was staph and had given her all sorts of antibiotic creams. Staph is a very common infection and can be caused by something as simple as a diaper rash. Nothing was working. The tender skin was so red it looked like it had second degree burns.
” She gave her little patient’s mother both S.O.S. and X-tracting balms to take home. No doubt, S.O.S. Balm has become a regular fixture in her emergency medicine cabinet. With organic coconut and olive oils as carriers for the herbs, S.O.S. Balm contains tea tree oil, echinacea, chaparral, lemon balm, peppermint, eucalyptus, and vitamin E, which all help to rapidly relieve dry, cracked, itchy, irritated skin—offering support for athlete’s foot, nail fungus, jock itch, and of course, skin abrasions and diaper rash.
“By the second day the pain had gone. By the end of the fifth day, the redness was gone. Everything was gone. They were just so happy.”
Dr. Cole sent me the pictures, which clearly made the point that the child’s bottom had completely healed; more quickly and effectively than with a traditional medical approach. (Note: Always be sure to work with your doctor if you suspect a serious infection.)
The number one herb in the X-tracting Balm infusion is blood root. According to Dr. Cole, “Blood root helps extract impurities. I use other strong antibiotic herbs: chaparral, goldenseal, echinacea, and burdock root, that have been touted for their anti-microbial properties. Also, pau d’arco as an antibacterial, with anti-worming herbs like clove, black walnut hull, and wormwood.”

Dr. Cole's Skin Repair Balm assists in helping the skin heal itself once toxic substances have been extracted from the skin. This product works well to soothe irritated skin conditions, relieve sunburn (or other burns), stop itching, calm down rashes, reduce swelling, and more. This balm is more intense than the cream (seen below) and usually is used on body parts other than the face, neck and hands.
Dr. Cole's Skin Repair Herbal Cream was created to assist in healing the more delicate areas of the body, such as the face, neck and hands. This thick, luxurious cream can be used on a daily basis as a preventative measure, or to assist in healing immediate skin irritations. Formerly part of Dr. Cole's Mobu Herbals line of products, this was called "Mobu Herbals SOS Lotion." It has been re-formulated into a thicker cream, and comes in an air-tight pump jar that is more sanitary, recyclable, and has a much longer shelf life.
No medicine cabinet should be without this dynamic duo: Dr. Cole's Skin Repair Formula as a balm and as as a cream! The balm is used for the more intense skin irritations on the lower body, while the cream is best for the more sensitive areas on the face, neck and hands. These products always have been long-time favorites for Dr. Cole's patients, and were formerly called Mobu Herbals SOS.
This First-Aid Skin-Repair Bundle comprises all of the products needed to follow Dr. Cole's emergency first aid skin-repair protocol, which includes:
