CCC Stick vs Tin:
I just wanted to share something with you that’s made a big difference for me—using a stick instead of a tin for Cold, Cough & Congestion Balm. If you’ve ever used a balm from a tin, you know how impractical that could be when you’re out and about.
With the stick, you can apply it directly to your chest or wherever you need it without getting it all over your hands. This has been a game changer, especially when I don’t have a sink nearby to wash my hands after applying it.
It’s also really helpful when using it on kids. I’ve noticed that little ones don’t always like things being rubbed on them, but when it’s in a stick, they’re much more likely to do it themselves. Plus, since they tend to touch their face a lot, the stick helps keep the balm off their hands, so they don’t accidentally rub it in their eyes or mouth.
CCC Salts as a Shower Steamer:
A little tip that has made using Cold, Cough & Congestion Salts way easier with my kids. If your kids are anything like mine, they might not love the CCC salts in their bath—mine always complain about the consistency and the little “floaters” (aka the herbs) in the water. One of my kids absolutely dislikes any menthol type feeling or minty feeling on his skin.
Linda Hammer, the formulator of all Dr. Cole's Herbal Remedies, gave me a great suggestion, and it’s been a total game changer. Instead of using the salts in the bath, I put them in a small bowl or container and leave them in the shower. As the shower steams up, the ingredients release into the air, and my kids still get all the benefits—without any complaints!
It’s been such a simple fix, and I wanted to pass it along in case you’ve had the same struggle.
